Allergens & Food Safety
Last updated
Your safety at the table matters more to us than anything else we do. Please tell a member of the team about any allergy, intolerance or dietary requirement before you order, every time you visit — even if you have told us before.
The 14 statutory allergens
As required by Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 as retained in UK law, we hold full allergen information for every dish. Ask and we will bring you the allergen matrix for the current menu.
- Cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats)
- Crustaceans
- Eggs
- Fish
- Peanuts
- Soybeans
- Milk
- Tree nuts (almond, cashew, pistachio and others)
- Celery
- Mustard
- Sesame seeds
- Sulphur dioxide and sulphites (above 10mg/kg or 10mg/litre)
- Lupin
- Molluscs
Cross-contamination
All dishes are prepared in a single kitchen where nuts, gluten, dairy, sesame, mustard and shellfish are in daily use. While we take great care — separate boards, cleaned equipment and a named allergen lead on every shift — we cannot guarantee that any dish is entirely free from traces of an allergen. If your allergy is severe, please speak to the manager so we can advise honestly on what we can serve you.
Pre-packed and takeaway items
Any food we pack on site for sale is labelled with a full ingredient list, with allergens emphasised, in line with Natasha's Law (the Food Information (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2019).
Raw and lightly cooked ingredients
Some dishes may contain raw or lightly cooked fish, eggs or meat. Consuming these can increase the risk of foodborne illness, particularly for older guests, pregnant guests, young children and anyone with a compromised immune system.
Our standards
Anaya operates a documented HACCP food safety management system, all-staff Level 2 Food Hygiene training with senior kitchen staff at Level 3, daily temperature and cleaning records, and we are inspected and rated under the Food Standards Agency Food Hygiene Rating Scheme by Warwick District Council.
If something goes wrong
If you feel unwell or suffer a reaction during or after a visit, contact us immediately on +44 20 7900 0000 or reserve@anaya.london, and seek medical advice. We investigate every report, retain records, and notify the local environmental health team where required.
